Meet Betty Gladstein

Born and raised in WV. Graduated from LSU with ASN and BSN. Graduated from University of California, San Francisco with an MSN. Attended NYU PhD in Nursing.

Employment ranged from direct patient care at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, LA and Children’s Hospital in San Francisco. Worked overseas the only Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist in Israel. After returning to the US, I became the Director of the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program at Cornell-New York Hospital, then at Columbia University. Additionally was a partner in a healthcare consulting company and an expert nursing witness.

After marrying and re-locating to Cape Cod, I began school nursing and have most recently left a position in the Boston area as the Director of Health Services at a private school.

As the new Nurse Coordinator at SSEC, I have a passion for pediatric care. I have dedicated my multi-year career to elevating the standard of patient care in both hospital and school facilities as a direct care-giver, educator and administrator. I believe in empowering nursing teams through mentorship, education and collaboration with others in the healthcare and education team. My work is guided by the philosophy that fostering lifelong healthy habits, integrating mental and physical well-being, and providing a supportive environment for students to thrive is essential for academic success.
